Brrrr

It was only in the low 20s outside, but after our long drive to Montana, Logan was anxious to play outside. We beat the snow on our drive but had enough of it on the ground to enjoy some toboggan rides before it got too cold. Over the next few days though, the lows did end up dropping to -14. Being used to Texas weather, we were freezing, but it was definitely nice to enjoy a white Christmas with family.

Logan Starts to Count

Logan started counting (at least to three) in Montana over our visit. He was always so excited to get to the number three that sometimes he skipped two. He learned so many new things and loved all the attention from family.

Snow in Texas

We had a neighborhood Christmas celebration and it was very authentic. It was COLD! We all braved the cold to head down to the festival to make crafts, see Santa and play in the snow (yes, they did have to truck it in but it was not melting that day). Claire loved sledding and petting all the animals at the petting zoo. Logan loved the live music from the band...he was even dancing (or wiggling) in the stroller. We made our last stop of the day to see Santa and Logan still wanted nothing to do with the man in the red suit. Oh well maybe next year!

ICE

We finally made it to the great Texas indoor ice sculptures at the Gaylord Texan. Susan and Claire joined us for the long adventure to the Grinch themed event. Having never been inside the hotel we didn't know what a long trek we were in for. We should have brought the stroller! The hotel lobby was beautiful and although it was cold outside we made it in to the exhibit hall that was a very cold four degrees. Logan and Claire were lost in their jackets but enjoyed every moment of the display, including the giant ice slides. We managed to stay warm and still get a few pictures. Logan was so sad to leave he kept trying to run back in and then started crying when we returned the jacket. We will have to make a return trip next year! Yes, it is all ICE!

Playing with Claire

It was so fun to have Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Susan and Cousin Claire here all at once. We loved the playing and entertainment that they provided. Our trip to the park was only topped by our big adventure to Going Bonkers (a giant indoor climbing area). Claire was so sweet with Logan and she seemed to get him talking as well.

Cousin Claire and Cookies

Logan's cousin came to visit in December and he had a great time "tasting" the Christmas cookies Claire made with Grandma. In just one day Aunt Susan and Cousin Claire helped Logan master saying "cookie".

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving in Montana. Logan had a great time visiting all of his family! He especially enjoyed dancing at Dave and Chelsea's rehearsal dinner/Thanksgiving celebration. It was an amazing week and you will have to take our word for it because Mommy left the camera in Montana. Oh well maybe someday you will get to see the pictures.

Arboretum Fall Festival

Logan joined his playgroup friends for a fun fall festival at the arboretum. Our friend Jessica (Hayden, Payson and Madison's mom) took some great pictures! Logan had a great time exploring the storybook houses and petting the animals.

Thanks Jessica for all the fantastic pictures!
