She's Two Months Old Already

Time really does fly. It is hard to believe that she is two months old and yet it seems like she has been a part of our family forever. She is now

Birthday Party Fun

Logan enjoyed celebrating his friend Elle's 3rd birthday! It was a fun day with his friends; he enjoyed games, cake and pizza. What could be better?

Backyard fun

Logan had some great backyard fun with his friends. He has become attached to Mommy's leg since Kaitlyn arrived and it had been a bit hard to get him out playing with his friends. He finally warmed up about the time we were ready to leave and it was hard to pry him away. He had a great time.

Mommy's New Toy

Daddy gave Mommy a fantastic gift this year for her birthday....a very nice new camera to take great pictures for the blog. Now if it is a bad picture you know that it is operator error. Here are a few shots with Mommy's new toy.

Horses and Puppets

Logan has enjoyed some playdate fun with his friend Abigail. We snuck off to the mall to ride the carousel and went to see Cinderella the puppet show. With some help from Abigail's Mommy Marla it worked out pretty well.
As always Logan loved the horses but barely cracked a smile on the carousel. He had a great time at the puppet show and was not scared by the dark or the puppets.
To be honest Mommy was a bit creeped out by a few of them. Just before the show they had a preview of the August show, the Little Engine that Could, and so Logan asked at least three times during Cinderella. "where did Thomas (the train) go?" I guess we will be going back very soon.

She's Got Personality

Kaitlyn now smiles all the time! She seems to have a very expressive personality... she cries a bit more than Logan but she is so cuddly too. We love to see her smile and now she has started to coo and loves to follow the spinning toys above her swing. Here are some of our favorites!

The Kids

It is amazing how fast time flies! It seems like it was just yesterday Logan was the baby being placed in my arms, now he is pointing out letters and numbers on all the street signs. Kaitlyn is growing so fast too here are some cute pictures from the past month.

Logan wants to swaddle and hold George just like Mommy does to Kaitlyn. What a sweet boy!

July 4th Celebration

We missed the Roundup, MT July 4th activities this year but had a great time at the Castle Hills festivities. We headed down to the lake in the neighborhood and Logan enjoyed playing with some friends, exploring the firetruck and eating lots of watermelon. Despite the heat and humidity we all had a great time!
Logan visiting the firetruck with his friends Hayden, Payson and Madison. He loved it so much we had to go back to see it two or three times while we were waiting for the fireworks to start.
Logan gets a hug from Madison. He always seems to ask about her for a few days after they see each other. Hmmm could be a crush....

Logan enjoys lots and lots of watermelon! We bought a whole melon just for him. He ate at least 5 to 7 big pieces that weekend.

We decided to try something unconventional to beat the heat over the 4th of July weekend.....we went ice skating. Yes, they do have ice in Texas in the middle of summer! It is not found at the top of a mountain but at the mall.

Logan was off to a great start laughing as his feet slid all over but after a few tries clinging to Mommy for dear life he decided that he had enough and headed out to sit with Daddy and Kaitlyn.

Mommy had a great time and took a few more laps but quickly realized that these were very different muscles that she was using and she is very out of shape! We all had a great time and it was a nice break from the scorching temperatures and high humidity.
