Smile!

It all seems so simple with Kaitlyn. Logan's smile was always so elusive when he was a baby. It was difficult to get him to smile. He has such an amazing smile and laugh but disappears so quickly that I could never get a picture. Now I have the best of both worlds more smiles from them both and a faster camera! I will treasure these smiles and laughs all of my life! 2010 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR!

Finally DONE!!!

Yes, it was an exciting week along with Christmas and family time we are also finally done potty training. What started out about four months ago is finally done. It was accomplished due to our very patient family. Logan has never had any trouble with peeing on the potty (he started this a month or two after his second birthday). His nemesis has always been the poo! He is always backed up and has had trouble with it since his first birthday and before. So since he had so much trouble doing it at all it was nearly impossible to get him to go on the potty. "It hurts..." was about all we heard. He had gone once or twice before when Grandma was visiting and she patiently waited over a half hour at a time for him to "try". Well with the wonderful patience of Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Anita, Uncle Bilal, Aunt Susan and Daddy he finally did it! It took many hours of patience that first week but we got it down! Mommy can't take much credit as I was usually feeding Kaitlyn and he didn't do it for me until almost a week later. Hooray! He is still getting a matchbox car a day for his labors and we are happy to report we are filling the car holder quickly!

Kailtyn's On the Move

She is really moving now! Christmas seems to have provided all the extra incentive to get after those new toys.

Kaitlyn's First Tooth

Kaitlyn's first tooth finally poked through today. She has been working on it for awhile now and with a cold it was hard to tell what drool was from the tooth or from the suffed up nose drool. She is a hearty eater and I am sure she will be happy to have this new tooth as she will try to use it on a bite she might sneak from a plate. She has been crying and reaching and eyeing food on Mommy, Daddy and Logan's plates since she was itty bitty!
I can't seem to get a good picture but here are a few good shots of Katilyn with her cousin Claire and Aunt Susan. She loved all the extra hugs and kisses!

Getting Ready for Santa

We have started getting excited about Christmas. Logan has loved opening the Advent Calendar window to read the daily Bible verse. The neighborhood Christmas Tree lighting was so much fun. Logan was not too scared to sit on Santa's lap and Kaitlyn lasted at least 45 seconds before starting to cry. We made a craft and enjoyed the Christmas fun.

Kaitlyn's Baptism

We had an amazing weekend of blessed family gatherings. Kaitlyn was Baptized the weekend after Thanksgiving in the same church where we were married and Logan was baptized. Aunt Donna and Uncle Derin are wonderful God-Parents and we were blessed to have so many friends and family there to celebrate!

Family Pictures

We tried the family pictures from home this year after lots of posing in the living room a nice snowstorm provided the perfect backdrop for pictures from Montana this year(See Thanksgiving post). Here are a few of our favorite attempts...

Baby Babbles

Kaitlyn wants in on the conversation! Now that we are up visiting Grandma and Grandpa she has more to say. As she approaches six months she is throwing out lots of "Da Da Da Ba" this week. I can't seem to catch it on video but I did get some cute pictures. Here are a few November shots.

Is it Thanksgiving or Christmas? (Pictures from Montana)

Well we finally made it to Montana after plane issues and a very long (overnight) layover in Denver. We arrived to a foot of snow and temperatures way below zero. It really feels like Christmas not Thanksgiving. Logan and Kaitlyn have only braved the cold a few times. Logan didn't last long on the Tobaggan this year. We had a few good rides but it was just too cold! We were just so blessed and thankful to be surrounded by family.

We had some great times in Montana. Logan loved clearing snow with Grandpa, He keeps asking to get on every piece of heavy equipment he sees and then he says, "next time I ride it with Grandpa."

Making snowmen with Daddy and Grandma.

Checking out trucks on Youtube with Uncle Derin.

It was one great trip!!
